چکیده

This paper proposes a new method for online secondary path modeling (OSPM) in active noise control (ANC) systems. The proposed method comprises two adaptive filters: a noise control filter and an OSPM filter. The noise control filter is adapted by the FxLMS algorithm, and using the same error signal as used in the adaptation of the OSPM filter. The OSPM filter is adapted using a variable step size (VSS) LMS algorithm already proposed by authors. Furthermore, the OSPM filter is excited by an additive random noise with a variable power. Initially, when the disturbance signal is large, a small step size and large additive random noise are used in the OSPM filter. Later, when ANC system converges, step size is increased and the variance of the additive random noise is decreased. The computer simulations show that the proposed method gives best performance among the existing methods.

An Optimized Online Secondary Path Modeling Method for Single-Channel Feedback ANC Systems

This paper proposes a new method for online secondary path modeling in feedback active noise control (ANC) systems. In practical cases, the secondary path is usually time-varying. For these cases, online modeling of secondary path is required to ensure convergence of the system. In literature the secondary path estimation is usually performed offline, prior to online modeling, where in the prop...

Several approaches have been introduced in literature for active noise control (ANC)systems. Since Filtered-x-Least Mean Square (FxLMS) algorithm appears to be the best choice as acontroller filter. Researchers tend to improve performance of ANC systems by enhancing andmodifying this algorithm. This paper proposes a new version of FxLMS algorithm. In many ANCapplications an online secondary pat...

Noise power scheduling in active noise control systems with online secondary path modeling

In active noise control (ANC) systems, the online secondary path modeling (OSPM) methods that use additive random noise are often applied. The additive random noise, however, contributes to the residual noise, and thus deteriorates the noise control performance of ANC systems. This paper proposes a new OSPMmethod with power scheduling of additive random noise. Here the OSPM filter is adapted us...

A New Online Secondary Path Modeling Method with An Auxiliary Noise Power Scheduling Strategy for Narrowband Active Noise Control Systems

In recent years, the online secondary path modeling (SPM) method with an auxiliary noise power scheduling strategy has been crucial for active noise control (ANC) systems and has also become a popular research topic. However, most scheduling strategies have been designed for broadband active noise control (BANC), and these ideas may not be directly applied to narrowband active noise control (NA...

A High Performance Feedback Active Noise Control System

In many active noise control (ANC) applications, an online secondary path modelling method that uses a white noise as a training signal is required. This paper proposes a new feedback ANC system. Here we modified both the FxLMS and the VSS-LMS algorithms to raised noise attenuation and modelling accuracy for the overall system. The proposed algorithm stops injection of the white noise at the op...
